The pattern for the Liv jersey dress is a great project for sewing beginners and really looks great!
The cut parts are twisted/shifted, which creates the unique look. Sewn from a thin jersey, more suitable as a top, in a thicker jersey or knit, great as a dress . A model that you can quickly sew in the afternoon before you go out in the evening!
Length at center back = 94-101 cm.
The asymmetrical dress Liv from this pattern was sewn from a viscose jersey.

Cutting:
When cutting, make sure to cut the front and back pieces the right way round, i.e. according to the pattern. You can do this best if the paper pattern is on the right side of the fabric with the label facing upwards.
Cut the pattern pieces out of fabric and transfer the clips from the pattern. In addition to the description, the colorful brackets in the pictures show you where a seam needs to be sewn.
You need:
- 1x front part
- 1x back part
- 1x skirt part in the break
- 1x sleeve opposite
Sewing instructions
Place the front piece right sides together on the back piece and close the shoulder seams (see blue staples) - these are easiest to see if you look at the neck hole.
You close the side seams in the same way. The easiest way to find these is to look at the shoulder seams, next to them are the armholes and next to them are the side seams (see red brackets).
Neaten the neck hole, iron it just inwards and stitch it in place close to the edge.
Place one sleeve right sides together and close its side seam.
Neaten the hem of the sleeve, press it 2cm inwards and stitch it tight.
Pin the sleeve into the dress, right sides together, so that both side seams (see red staples) meet directly.
Sew the sleeve all the way around to the armhole and repeat these steps with the other sleeve.
Place the skirt part right sides together in the fold and close the long side seam.
The skirt part is sewn to the dress like a cuff. That is, fold it in half on the right side so that the seam you just closed disappears inside. In the next step, its side seam meets the right side seam of the dress, the opposite point (break) meets the left side seam.
Put the cuff over the bottom edge of the dress, right sides together, so that the points just mentioned meet and all three open edges of the fabric lie exactly on top of each other. Close this seam all the way around.
