The sewing pattern for the jersey dress Liv is a great project for sewing beginners and looks great!
The pattern parts are twisted/shifted, which results in the unique look. Sewn from a thin jersey, more suitable as a top, in a thicker jersey or knitwear great as a dress . A model that you can quickly sew up in the afternoon before you go out in the evening!
Length at center back = 94-101 cm.
The asymmetrical dress Liv from this pattern was sewn from a viscose jersey.

cutting:
When cutting, make sure to cut the front and back the right way around, i.e. according to the pattern. You can do this best if the paper cut is on the right side of the fabric with the lettering facing up.
Cut the pattern pieces out of fabric and transfer the notches from the pattern. In addition to the description, the colorful brackets in the pictures show you where a seam needs to be sewn.
You need:
- 1x front part
- 1x back
- 1x skirt part in break
- 1x sleeve opposite
sewing instructions
Place the front piece on the back piece, right sides together, and sew the shoulder seams (see blue clips) - these are easiest to see if you look at the neckline.
You close the side seams in the same way. You can find these most easily if you orientate yourself on the shoulder seams, next to them are the armholes and next to them the side seams (see red brackets).
Neat the neckline, iron it inwards and topstitch it tightly.
Place one sleeve right sides together and sew its side seam.
Neaten the hem of the sleeves, iron it inwards by 2 cm and stitch it tightly.
Tuck the sleeves into the dress, right sides together, so that both side seams (see red brackets) meet directly.
Sew the sleeve to the armhole all the way around and repeat these steps with the other sleeve.
Lay the skirt part right sides together in the fold and close the long side seam.
The skirt part is sewn to the dress like a cuff. In other words, fold it in half on the right side so that the seam you just closed disappears on the inside. In the next step, its side seam meets the right side seam of the dress, the opposite point (break) meets the left side seam.
Pull the cuff right sides together over the lower edge of the dress so that the points just mentioned meet and all three open fabric edges lie exactly on top of each other. Sew this seam all the way around.
