Required material:

We recommend a jersey with elastane .

Sizes 34-42

  • Outer fabric 0.90 m (140 cm wide)

Size 44-50

  • Outer fabric 1.30 m (140 cm wide)

cutting:

Cut out the pattern pieces from your fabrics . Lay the fabric right side up. Lay the selvedges parallel to the center so that you can lay the front and back pieces in the fold. Always align the thread up arrow on all pieces in the same direction and parallel to the selvage of the fabric. Transfer all the notches from the pattern through a 3mm long incision with scissors or chalk . Pinch the seam allowance in the fold of the fabric because this is always a center. Markings define positions of dart ends , pocket positions, etc. Transfer these either with chalk or a pin .

You need from fabric:

  • 1x left front piece
  • 1x right front piece
  • 1x back part in break
  • 2x sleeves in opposite directions

Sewing instructions:

To sew this shirt you need a sewing machine and an overlock sewing machine, alternatively you can use the zigzag stitch on your sewing machine to finish the raw edges.

Be sure to use a jersey needle and use a stretch stitch, i.e. if you are sewing with a home sewing machine you should use either a zigzag stitch or the tripartite elastic stitch and then all seam allowances again with a zigzag stitch or another appropriate stitch neaten so they don't fray. In addition to the description, the colorful lines in the pictures show you where a seam needs to be sewn or something to be glued.
When sewing, pay attention to the seam allowance included in the pattern. Seam allowances that are not specially marked are 1 cm wide!
Happy sewing!

First neaten the seam allowances of the two cutouts in both front parts and the back neckline. Then iron them 1cm inwards (on the wrong side). Then place the front pieces on the shoulders, right sides together, on the back piece and close these seams. Neaten the seam allowance and iron it into the back piece.

Next, stitch the seam allowance of the neckline at 0.7cm from the right.

Neaten the hem edge of the right front part, which is on top, and iron it inwards by 1 cm. Then stitch the hem allowance at 0.7cm. To make the edges look nice, iron the neckline and hem edges flat.

Continue with the front piece top step (right front piece). Here you need to gather the side edge. Here we have a video in which Dagmar shows you the best way to ruffle.

You do this by first sewing along the side with the largest stitch (with a gap of 0.7 cm). Leave the thread longer at both ends. Knot one side, pull on the other side and gather the side so that it fits between the two notches of the left (underlay) front piece (distribute the gathering evenly).

Place the ruffled front piece on the lower front piece according to the markings and pin at the side seams. Then sew the side seams together 0.7 cm wide (make sure that the right front piece ends 1 cm above the hem of the left front piece).

Now sew the complete front part to the back part at the side seams (1.5 cm) right sides together. Neaten the seam allowances together and iron to the back.

Next neaten the hem edge of the lower front part and the back part and iron around 1 cm wide. Then sew the hem 0.7 cm wide. For better processing, fold the upper front part away so that it is not accidentally stitched on. Then iron the hem smooth.

Sew the sleeves together right sides together and neaten the seam allowances and hem.

Press in the hem edges at 1cm and sew the sleeve hems at 0.7cm.

Finally, just sew the sleeves into the appropriate armholes and neaten the seam allowance together.
