Arifa harem pants pattern is our modern implementation of the oriental classic, not too wide and not too low in the crotch. They are super comfortable and follow your every movement even as yoga pants. Choose a soft, flowing jersey with this pattern and you'll get another favorite piece for your wardrobe. We recommend a flowing fabric such as silk, jersey or Tencel, and an elastic ribbed fabric for the cuffs.
In this example, the casual Arifa trousers were sewn from viscose with elastane content.

- 2x trouser part in the break
- 1x waistband in break
- 2x leg cuffs
- 2x ties
Sewing instructions
First, place the two pants pieces together, right sides together, and close both the side and crotch seams. Fold the leg cuffs in half, right sides together, and close the side seam.
Turn the cuff inside out so that the right side is on the outside and the seam you just closed is on the inside. The cuff is placed right sides together in the leg cuffs. Sew the cuff while pulling evenly.
The hem band is right sides together so that the side seams line up exactly on top of each other. Use the markings for the folds on the back hem. Place these in folds.
Then close the side seam of the waistband.
The ties are tied by folding them in half lengthwise and sewing them together along the long edge and the bottom edge. Turn it through the top, open edge. Fold the open edges inwards by 1cm.
Pin both ties opposite each other to the back hem band. Sew it in place along the back seam of the waistband.
This is what they look like sewn on. Congratulations, your pants Arifa are ready!
