Our Dalia nightgown pattern gets full marks for coziness and, above all, is easy to sew. The dress has a bodice with a large round neckline and a slightly flared, swinging skirt. You can use a different color for the trim on the neck hole, which gives a nice contrast.
Length at center back = 97 – 105 cm
Dalia was sewn from a soft jersey in this pattern.
Required material:
We recommend a soft jersey fabric with elastane.

Cutting:
Cut the pattern pieces from your outer fabric. Lay the fabric right side up. Place the selvedges parallel to the center so that you can place the front piece on top and bottom and the back piece on top and bottom in the fold. The pattern pieces should all lie face up. Always align the thread arrow in the same direction on all pieces and parallel to the selvedge of the fabric. Transfer all clips from the pattern through a 3mm long incision with scissors or chalk and mark the ends of the darts, note that bust darts must be used from size 40. Clip the seam allowance in the fabric fold because this is always a center. Markings define positions of dart ends, pocket positions, and much more. Transfer these either with chalk or pins. 
What you need from fabric:
- 1x front part at the top in the break
- 1x front part at the bottom in the break
- 1x back part at the top in the break
- 1x back part at the bottom in the break
- 2x sleeves in opposite directions
- 1x neck strip
Sewing instructions:
To sew this nightgown you will need a sewing machine and an overlock sewing machine, or alternatively the zigzag stitch on your sewing machine to neaten the raw edges.
Be sure to use a jersey needle and use a stretchy stitch, i.e. if you are sewing with a household sewing machine, you should use either a zigzag stitch or the three-part elastic stitch and then all seam allowances again with a zigzag stitch or another appropriate stitch Neaten so they don't fray. In addition to the description, the colorful lines in the pictures show you where a seam needs to be sewn or something needs to be glued.
When sewing, pay attention to the seam allowance included in the pattern. Seam allowances that are not specifically marked are 1cm wide!
Have fun sewing! 
First, connect the top front piece to the bottom front piece, right sides together, and neaten the seam allowances together. Likewise, the top back piece is connected to the bottom back piece, right sides together, and the seam allowances are neatened together. On the front and back pieces, iron the seam allowances upwards. 
Now you can close the front and back pieces in the side seam, right sides together. The seam allowances are neatened together and ironed to the back. 
Sew the shoulder seams together, right sides together, then neaten the seam allowances together and iron them to the back. 
You close the sleeves, right sides together, and finish the seam allowances together and iron them towards the back. Neaten the cut edge at the hem and iron it according to the snaps in the cut... 
... and topstitch. 
Sew the sleeve, right sides together, into the corresponding armhole and finish it together. Pay attention to the clips in the cut. 
Sew the neck strip together along the short stretch, right sides together. Iron the seam allowances apart and then fold the strip, left sides together. To make it easier to work with and so that it doesn't stretch out when you put it on later, stitch the neck hole strip once to the width of a quilting foot. 
Now you can needle the strip, right sides together, into your neck hole and stitch it in place. The seam of the neck strip lies on the shoulder seam of the right side of the body. All seam allowances are neatened together and ironed down. 
Finally, secure the seam allowance that has been ironed downwards to the width of a quilting foot, thereby securing it additionally. Finally, bind the hem, iron it at 2cm and topstitch it.
