Nähanleitung Pullunder Vilana

Sewing instructions sweater vest Vilana

Vest with open sides and ties for easy dressing. The high turtleneck keeps you warm and the slipover can be closed at the sides with the help of the ties. When it comes to the straps, you have the choice between the outer fabric and a ready-made strap. Vilana is quick and easy to sew, so it always makes a great gift.

Length at center back = 68 - 74 cm

In this pattern, Vilana was sewn from a knit fabric.

Required material:

We recommend a knit fabric.

Sizes 34-46

  • Outer fabric 1.20 m (140 cm wide)

Sizes 48-50

  • Outer fabric 1.60 m (140 cm wide)

Sizes 34-50

  • Fixing tape 0.20 m (1cm wide)
  • finished tape 2.00 m (3cm wide) alternative to the outer fabric

cutting:

Cut out the pattern pieces from your outer fabric. Lay the fabric right side up. Lay the selvedges parallel to the center so that you can lay the front, back and collar in the fold. The pattern pieces should all be face up. Always align the grain arrow on all pieces in the same direction and parallel to the selvedge of the fabric. Transfer all the notches from the pattern through a 3mm long incision with scissors or chalk. Pinch the seam allowance in the fold of the fabric because this is always a center. Markings define positions of dart ends, pocket positions, etc. Transfer these either with chalk or pins.

You need from fabric:

  • 1x back part in break
  • 1x front part in break
  • 4x binding tape
  • 1x collar in break

also with band:

  • 4x tie lace

Sewing instructions:

To sew this skirt you need a sewing machine and an overlock sewing machine, alternatively you can use the zigzag stitch on your sewing machine to finish the raw edges.

In addition to the description, the colorful lines in the pictures show you where a seam needs to be sewn or something to be glued.

When sewing, pay attention to the seam allowance included in the pattern. Seam allowances that are not specially marked are 1 cm wide!

Happy sewing!

Clean up the shoulders, side seams and the hem of the front piece all around.

Clean up the shoulders, side seams and the hem of the back piece all around.

There are letter corners at the hem. Sew them right sides together, iron open the seam allowances and turn them right side out.

The letter corners also specify the seam allowances for the side seams and the hem. Iron everything according to the pattern into the front and back pieces.

Here you can see a detailed view of the ironed hem and side seam and the processed corner of the letter.

Close the shoulders right sides together and press open the seam allowances.

With right sides together, close the collar in a round and press open the seam allowances. Iron the collar folds inside out and pin the snaps together.

Position and pin collar into finished neckline, right sides together, sew and neaten seam allowances.

Now cut out the ties and sew the long side right sides together.

Press the seam allowances apart with a tool.

Also close the short stretch right sides together. The shaping band serves to ensure that the line of the rope does not wear out.

Turn the ties right side out.

Stitch the tie right sides together with the side seams unfolded onto the position on the pattern.

Fold the folds into position and stitch through the edge (the photo shows the view from the inside) so you sew the bands in place additionally.

Fold the binding straps outwards again into the desired position and stitch them tight at the edge.
