Wrap dresses, like our Marie pattern, are so wonderfully uncomplicated to wear, they don't tighten or pinch anywhere and follow every movement without hesitation. The Marie dress is particularly suitable for all women who have a little more curves. The body shapes are not emphasized too much by the wrapped straps, so the dress looks feminine and dressed. The women's dress is not difficult to sew, but requires some experience in handling and reading patterns. You will also find a video in this post.
Center back length = 98-103cm
In these instructions, the Marie was sewn from a soft modal jersey.
Required material:
We recommend a flowing jersey fabric with a percentage of elastane.

cutting:
Cut out the pattern pieces from your fabric . The pattern pieces should all be face up. Always align the grain arrow on all pieces in the same direction and parallel to the selvage of the fabric. Transfer all the notches from the pattern through a 3mm long incision with scissors or chalk and mark the ends of the darts. Pinch the seam allowance in the fold of the fabric because this is always a center. 
To sew this dress you need a sewing machine and an overlock sewing machine, alternatively you can use the zigzag stitch on your sewing machine to finish the raw edges.
Be sure to use a jersey needle and use a stretch stitch, i.e. if you are sewing with a home sewing machine you should use either a zigzag stitch or the tripartite elastic stitch and then all seam allowances again with a zigzag stitch or another appropriate stitch neaten so they don't fray. In addition to the description, the colorful lines in the pictures show you where a seam needs to be sewn or something to be glued.
When sewing, pay attention to the seam allowance included in the pattern.

Front part processing video
You start by sewing the two back pieces together. Overcast the seam allowance and iron it upwards.
Then clean up the side edges and the hem of the back part.
Lay the back piece aside and take one of the ties and the right front piece. Sew the tie to the front piece (the pattern tells you exactly where to sew it). We also have a video on how to work the front part of the Marie: click here for the video.
Then you fold the strip and a piece of the front part in half and overturn the two sides together. You also sew the end of the band together. In the photo below I have marked what you have to sew together through the lines in the cut. Pay particular attention to the fact that points A and A, which are labeled in the section, are on top of each other. 
The right front piece can now be sewn to the left front piece. For easier sewing, do not pull out the ribbon. First sew the sections B and B together (see cut). Sew the front pieces together from the shoulder to point A.
Then you close the section C. This runs from point A to the side seam. 
Now you can pull out the ribbon, i.e. turn the binding ribbon around and iron out the edges. Then neaten the side seams, the hem and the attached neckline facing (here: the blue lines). 
Iron the second tie in the middle and turn it over once all the way around. One end must remain open in order to turn it over afterwards.
Sew the band to the right side edge at the level of the dividing seam.
Iron the three small strips in half.
Sew the shortest of the three stripes right sides together onto the back neckline.
Then I turned the strip over to the left and stitched it on tightly. Make sure the seam allowance is not sticking out. If the seam allowance is a bit too wide, you can trim it accordingly.
It continues with the front neckline. It is very important that you mark the two points (here: marked by blue dots) with pins.
Then you can place the back part right sides together on the front part and pin the shoulders together. In the photo I have again marked the drill hole with two blue dots. The ends of the back neckline end on these points. Then you fold the slip over from the front part.
Sew the shoulder seams like the blue lines in the photo. You end up on the points marked 2 pictures before.
In the end, the neckline looks like this on the shoulder.
Next, sew the sides together. I previously ironed the hem and then sewed the sides together. Then iron the seam allowance apart and sew the hem in place.
Finally, the armholes have to be cleaned up using the two strips. Sew the strips together to form a ring and iron it in half.
You now sew on these strips according to the same principle as in the neck hole. First sew and distribute the width evenly beforehand.
Then topstitch the seam allowance close to the edge and finally fold the strip inwards and sew tight.
Your MARIE is ready!
