A shaping tape is sewn or ironed onto the front and back neckline to stabilize the garment. Sew the shaping ribbon to the neckline of the front and back pieces (in this case the yoke) inside the seam allowance. You should measure the length of the shaping band on your paper cut to avoid length differences.
This way the neckline of your garment cannot warp or borrow.
