The basis is our Vilana pullover pattern.

And here's how it works:
Enlarge the neck opening:
First, enlarge the neckline by 2 cm all around - this will give you a neckline shape that will fit perfectly with blouse or roll collars.

We have added a 4 cm wide facing to the neckline, which you can easily draw from the front and back pieces.
Alternatively, depending on the material, you can hem the neckline with a coverstitch seam or work with overlocking / topstitching.
If you plan to bind the neckline, you should enlarge it by three centimeters and then bind it with bias tape.

Shortening a pullover vest:
Our short pullover has been shortened by 15 cm.
To avoid losing the correct fit (the side seams of the vest aren't simply linear), we recommend shortening the pattern above the waist rather than simply cutting it off. This also ensures that the construction for the mitered corners is retained in the pattern.
Of course, you can also lengthen Vilana this way if you want to make a stylish long vest out of it.
Simply cut the section horizontally and then remove or add length in parallel.
Closure:
We omitted the side ties because we used snap fasteners, but of course you can also use ties for a cropped version.
We positioned the snap fasteners so that those on the front are on the left side of the fabric, while those on the back are on the right side.
This results in a nice side view.
