Sewing instructions:

When sewing, pay attention to the seam allowance included in the pattern. Seam allowances not specifically marked are 1 cm wide!

To sew this skirt you will need a sewing machine and an overlock sewing machine, or alternatively the zigzag stitch of your sewing machine to finish the cut edges.

The colored lines in the pictures show you, in addition to the description, where to sew a seam, finish edges, or glue something.

Have fun sewing!

Start by sewing all the panels together. Pay attention to the notches in the pattern. Finish the seam allowances of all panels together and press them in one direction (do not iron faux leather!).

Decoration tip: Piping or lace trim between the seams gives your skirt a personal touch.

Topstitch the seam allowance close to the edge or a presser foot's width away. Two decorative seams are also an option!

Before sewing the waistband to the skirt, finish the raw edge of the hem and iron it 1 cm to the inside. Then topstitch the hem in place.

Now all that's left is the waistband and you're done. Iron the waistband in half lengthwise, wrong sides together. Sew the waistband closed along the short side, leaving a 3cm opening for the elastic.

Press the seam allowance of the waistband open and topstitch the seam allowance flat against the waistband. The side of the waistband with the opening will later be on the inside, i.e., towards the body.

Sew the waistband to the skirt right sides together, then press the seam allowance into the waistband.

Iron the top edge of the waistband inwards by 1 cm. Fold the waistband in half. Now sew the waistband in place from the right side, in the shadow of the seam.

You can now thread the elastic band through and sew the ends together. Be careful not to twist the band while doing this.
