Questions about the pattern
Do the patterns already include seam allowances?
All our patterns include a 1 cm seam allowance. Additional seam allowance variations are indicated by markings/notches. Typically, the patterns from Schnittmuster Berlin have a 1.5 cm seam allowance in the side seam, which is indicated by notches.
Where can I find the download for my ebook?
You will receive the downloads for your ebooks via email. Please also check your spam folder. The subject of this email is: Sewing Patterns Berlin - Your Downloads
If you can't find this email, you can download your eBooks via your customer account: Go to your account. You'll find the download links for your eBooks under "View all downloads."
What does a digital pattern contain?
You will receive a digital pattern as a zip folder with PDF files for download. It contains the pattern in A4, A0, and projector formats, finished measurements and size charts, a cutting plan, and illustrated sewing instructions.
What is an A0 format in my ebook?
The A0 pattern is a CAD plot that always has a height of 89.7 cm. The length varies depending on the pattern and can be up to 3 m. This file can only be printed using a large-format printer with a roll-fed function. These printers can be found in many copy shops or online. Make sure that the printing service provider you choose offers the option of printing in the DIN A0 oversize format. Plotter services are providers that are also used for construction plans, for example. It is also important that the print is printed in "actual size" without scaling .
How do I print my digital pattern?
You can open the A4 pattern PDF with Adobe Reader.
Under "Page Adjustment and Options," set the size to " Actual Size ." Your pattern must be printed without scaling . It's best to print only the page with the checkbox, and if that's correct, then the remaining pages.
What are layered patterns?
Some PDF patterns (you can find them here) have the respective sizes on their own layers. Once you've selected your size, you can use the layers function in Acrobat Reader to hide the sizes you don't need. This way, you'll only print the pattern pieces in your size. Be careful not to accidentally hide the layers with the labels and grid.

What are body measurement charts and finished measurement charts?
The body measurement chart is a general chart for determining your ready-to-wear size and the size you need for a pattern. The finished measurement charts are customized for each pattern. They show you the finished measurements of the sewn garment.
