All the pattern pieces should be placed with the writing facing up and on the right side of the fabric.
Always align the grainline arrow in the same direction for all pieces and parallel to the selvedge of the fabric.
Transfer all notches from the pattern through a 3mm long snip with scissors or with chalk and mark the ends of the darts.

Sewing instructions:
When sewing, pay attention to the seam allowance included in the pattern. Seam allowances not specifically marked are 1 cm wide!
To sew this skirt you will need a sewing machine and an overlock sewing machine, or alternatively the zigzag stitch of your sewing machine to finish the cut edges.
The colored lines in the pictures show you, in addition to the description, where to sew a seam, finish edges, or glue something.
Have fun sewing!

First, iron the fusible interfacing onto the seam allowances of the center back to secure the zipper. Then, sew the center back seam from the hem to the zipper marking and finish the seam allowances together.

Next, you place the side seams of the back piece on top of the side seams of the front piece, stitch them together and then finish the raw edges.

Now you can attach the waistband. To do this, first finish one long side.

Then you iron the waistband, wrong sides together, in half (horizontal center line).

In the next step, sew the waistband, right sides together, to the waist seam of the skirt. Start at the zipper opening. Sew the waistband all the way around until you reach the opposite opening on the skirt.

Next, you can sew in the zipper. To do this, place it open, right sides together, along the seam allowances at the center back. (Pay attention to the markings.) The zipper stopper should be positioned directly at the top edge of the waistband. Sew the zipper in place with two seams. The first seam runs along the edge, a presser foot's width away. The second seam runs close to the zipper teeth. For this, use either a half-size or a zipper foot for your sewing machine.

The short piece (above the stopper) at the beginning of the zipper is taken into the fold of the waistband.

Now you can fold the waistband inwards so that the finished edge is on the inside of the skirt. Then, sew close to the edge of the waistband along the waistline from the outer fabric side.

When closed, the zipper topper sits directly at the top edge of the waistband.

Now you can finish the hem. To do this, iron the 5mm hem edge all the way around into the hem of the skirt.

Then you fold the envelope over and sew it securely all around, close to the edge.

Your skirt, Frederike, is finished!
