!! When you purchase this pattern, you will receive the Premium Dress Barcelona pattern, which you can easily transform into a great top with a few simple steps – a so-called pattern hack.!!

Premium dress Barcelona:

Enchanting: Luxurious sleeves accentuate the elegant silhouette of the dress, whose unfolding comes to life with movement.

With its long, flowing, and high-waisted cut, the Barcelona dress flatters your figure and creates an effortless look. The curved waist seam and elegant princess seams running from the shoulder seam to the hem add a sophisticated touch. And the wide, flowing hem ? A real eye-catcher that commands attention with every movement!

The distinctive puff sleeves, which end just above the elbow and transition into slim, long jersey sleeves , add a playful elegance to your outfit. If you omit the jersey sleeves, you can also plan to wear the dress next summer. We'll show you examples of this in our photo gallery.

The pleats in the shoulder area and the gentle gathering at the jersey hem are the details that truly make the Barcelona dress exceptional.

And the best part? The dress has no rips at all! Just slip it on: done!

The practical pockets in the side seam not only offer you a cool look, but also space for your essentials.

The oval neckline perfectly complements the minimalist yet feminine design .

Patternhack Barcelona / Dress to sweater:

Shortening a dress:

Determine the length from the point where your neck meets the wall to the desired length of the sweater.
Transfer the measurement to the pattern of the dress.
In our case, that was a finished sweater length of 66 cm.
Now measure the amount to be shortened from the hem of the dress to the desired sweater length and transfer this to all front and back pattern pieces.
Now you glue all 4 skirt pieces together (front piece center -> front piece side -> back piece side -> back piece center).
Now you can draw a nice seam line where all the lower sweater parts fit together perfectly.
Add your desired hem amount depending on the processing.

Create a turtleneck:

First, you make the neck opening smaller:
Tape a piece of paper under your pattern pieces, extending the center back and center back lines.
Increase the neckline by 4 cm at the front center and by 1 cm at the back center.
Extend the shoulder seam by 2.5 cm on each side towards the neck opening.
Now you draw this new, higher neckline curve using a curved ruler.
Your throat opening is now smaller.

Create the pattern piece for the turtleneck:

To correctly determine the circumference of the roll neck, draw the actual seam line of the neckline, which is 1 cm from the cut edge.
You will miss this line in both the front and back pieces.
Now you create the turtleneck:
Mark the center front point on a line, add the length for the front piece, make a notch there (side seam), and add the length of the back piece. This is the center back point.
The front center lies in the fracture, the back has a seam.
Now you decide how high your turtleneck should be. In our case, it's 11.5 cm, so your rectangle is 23 cm high and has a fold in the middle.

Adjust the width of the sweater:

The sweater is wide at the hem because the Barcelona dress has a bell-shaped cut.
If you want the sweater to be narrower at the hem, you can take away up to 8 cm from the side seams only (i.e., draw away 2 cm from each side seam). If that's still too wide, draw away the remaining amounts from the princess seams. This will keep the pattern balanced and the seams in a harmonious proportion.

Watch the video in our image gallery. Ellen explains how to do it step by step.

Length from the point of the neck to the hem = 125-132 cm
